August 5th, 2019 by

All drivers encounter situations that test their driving abilities. Being a good driver means being prepared for the unexpected, so to help you respond to potential driving hazards, our staff here at Joseph Toyota of Cincinnati came up with our best safety tips designed to protect you from uncertain dangers. We want to makes sure all of our customers are properly equipped for driving, so we’ve outlined the most common road hazards and how you can avoid them:

Cyclists – Bicyclists have the same rights as other vehicles on the road, so you need to stay alert in case one appears. Always give a cyclist plenty of room, especially when you’re driving on a narrow residential street.

Large Trucks – Small sedans like the 2019 Toyota Camry are sometimes hard to see on the road, especially by truck drivers. If you aren’t careful, a large truck may not be able to see you if you’re in its blind spot, so it’s always best to stay directly in front or behind trucks.

Work Zones – Every year, there are countless accidents due to carelessness near work zones. It’s important to always pay attention and drive within the speed limit if you pass a work zone, particularly during the summer when construction is common.
